You my Medium friend, are an excellent writer and thinker. I totally agree with your perspective here.

I will never understand why it makes some people feel better to put other people down. Really…are egos that fragile that the only way to feel good about one’s self is to basically say “I know everything about everything and you do not”?

Especially if it comes from an older generation because to me, attitudes like that are not signs of wisdom but are huge indications of immaturity and insecurity.

Again, why can’t all generations simply respect and learn from one another without needing to argue for superiority?

No wonder O.K. Boomer has surfaced.

Yeah yeah I know. It’s always been like that. Ok…but that doesn’t make it right. And true self actualization( from Maslow’s hierarchy) means rising up above “ what’s always been there”.
