You had me highlighting almost every word in your excellent essay.
And then I remembered a Christmas party I hosted for my staff around the beginning of the #MeToo movement.
One woman in the group got carried away and started flirting with this obnoxious sales rep. Why, I have no idea. The guy was…icky.
Anyways clearly having his attention was making her feel…whole. Like she mattered.(sigh)
She started batting her eyes and then lobbying a few rolled up pieces of wrapping paper at him. He playfully returned one of the wads of paper and it grazed her on the shoulder.
She shrieked and said Bill( his name) you just sexually assaulted me, I am taking you to court for sexual abuse. And she roared with laughter thrilled to reduce #Metoo to a point of ridiculousness.
Why? So this creepy guy would like her and .. you know… take her home.
What is wrong with some women? Is making fun of and not supporting women to gain favor with a guy the only thing that matters?
