Oh the laws of nature and the laws of humanity
And the crows: one crow sorrow, 2 crows joy, 3crows a letter 4 crows something better? Did you know this rhyme since childhood? I did. Yet I didn’t equate the “sorrow” as hearing from a departed loved one. I like that version vs the more general terror of “sorrow”.
