Two things.
1.The ( massive) industry I quit 2 years ago had an unwritten rule pretty much made by men age 50 to age 85. Women under age 30 are fuckable, women 30-35 are about to be put out to pasture, women above 35 are invisible. This applied to employees and to clients.

2. Trying to navigate a difficult relationship several years ago with the absolute worst choice I ever could have made for a partner,*a well meaning friend advised. “ You are too smart for him, you gotta learn how to DUMB IT DOWN, the way I do with my guy.”

So yeah…it’s a lot and I only gave 2 examples

* LOL. Look at me adding this part because inevitably someone will ask. Not you Sherry, but some random troll will. They usually say something like: “ You can’t be smart if you make dumb romantic partner decisions.”
My reply: “It’s called life. Intelligent and accomplished PEOPLE ( meaning any female, male, she, he, they) can make bad decisions of the heart. Being good at certain things does not apply to all things.”
