I am sick and tired hearing the “asking for it” justification for cat calling and other unacceptable behaviours. It’s become automatic and a convenient 3 word mantra to dismiss a woman’s individuality.
As you state Alexandra, you do this for yourself. Which of course is 100% what any human has the right to do. Yet for half the population, much of society still considers them less than or not equal to men. So doing something for yourself? Wha? What self? You “ doll” yourself up like that, you get what you must be asking for?
