This entire essay is perfect, your words saying what needs saying. The paragraph I excerpted says it all.
And my points on this: In our teens and undergraduate years…peer pressure is everything. And sadly, if one’s peers, give accolades for boys thinking you are hot…well then just do whatever you need to do to be viewed that way.
Rarely will that include honesty about what turns you on( if you even know the answer to that question at that point in your young life)
So what does that young women do with this statement” Well Jenny comes four times before I barely touch her, what’s wrong with you?”
Or, “ Why do you want me to touch you or anything before I dive in and pretend I’m a Jack rabbit, other girls don’t tell me that…”
So sure, let’s base all our research about women’s sexuality on 20 year olds…
