Thank you, thank you, thank you, James, for writing and sharing this piece. Like I said earlier: You are one of the good ones.

People are taught, directly and indirectly, from birth onwards, these sorts of attitudes (and resulting behaviors) toward women. There is so much work to do to right the wrongs, insults and abuses against 51% of the human population.

The industry I recently left. Gender split in my domain: 85% male, 15% female. Horrific, soul crushing stories from that world. No matter when the woman colleague was outstanding and accomplished.

Good story. Might be a longer one someday. A colleague blatantly stole a profitable piece of business from me. I confronted him over a coffee. The bullshit and gaslighting coming out of his mouth was so bad that one of my comments was: Bob, this is ridiculous and….

He slammed down his coffee cup, interrupted me( of course),glared menacingly almost 2 inches from my face and snarled: My wife is not permitted to use the word ridiculous around me, neither are you.

Yeah.

Mia Miller , my economist friend, wanted to be certain you see this excellent article James wrote!
