Thank you for this well written update, Sylvia. I think anyone reading it pretty much wants to highlight the entire essay. I know I almost did.
In different ways but also in some similar ways, your words describe what many of us feel.
These are, to say the least, extremely tough and dark times.
I too have been mostly absent for the last 15months, due to external family issues, that are now, I’m hoping, much better.
I find myself gravitating to writing only about my cooking hobby, my way to deal with the angst of writing in these days of major, life changing world issues.
I’m hoping I can find mental space to play with the lobstersandwich stuff while also including other topics near and dear. We shall see…
