Susan! Good morning. Baking rocks in an oven might lead to explosions? What the hey and who knew.

I read your solution to “no beans in the cupboard” and I was impressed with your substitution. I mean, a bunch of us might someday say: oh right get some rocks. Practical and all that.

You my girl, did save us from an ugly mess in our ovens or worse. Thank you. Seriously.( As I read my potential typos, I am realizing that this could be turned into one funny little comment, but my intention was merely to say, Oh Sh%# Vee, don’t bake rocks)

On the other hand Roz Warren you funny person you. Perhaps the exploding rocks theme might be another inspiration. If so, please tag me so I can read and have yet another Roz belly laugh. Just sayin’.

And Susan: I saw your lovely claps this morning to a comment I made to another fav writer Gillian Sisley . It made me sashay on over to your profile to read your latest.

The pie article caught me. Because I am intimidated by crust making. Because I constantly find a crumb substitute for making the bottom layer of one of those delights of desserts. Because as much as I can I bake various crisps as a cop- out (although my crisps are quite lovely). Because a few more becauses.

I do own a copy of Sister Pie and thanks to you I will find a recipe in that book and take my mental baking into reality. In 2020, I think.

Looking forward to hearing more from you, Susan, as we move into the next decade. Sending a wish for wonderful holiday celebrations.

In closing I will tag another fabulous writer(you, Roz and Gillian already being three of them) Linda Caroll

Long live pie. Right, LC?😀
