I do know Fearless She Wrote and have been in touch with the amazing Gillian Sisley regularly. FSW is wonderful and so needed and so successful on Medium.
Since a number of excellent writers own a number of publications under their profiles( for one: Linda Caroll ) I suggest you keep that perfect title : Learn. Grow. Live. either for certain topics related only to your own writing OR open it up for submissions as you see fit.
The inspiration I had from your last article was, I think much narrower in scope than FSW( but please correct me if I’m wrong). Plus I think what I suggested would be more limited in scope than Learn. Grow. Live. I see this new idea as articles written by women only AND exclusively articles on this one theme:
Directly relating to your article on what we women all need to do for one another: The new pub’s articles must celebrate/ pay tribute to something( anything) another woman or group of women have accomplished. Think of it like a journalist writing an article on a deserving person’s accomplishments. (FSW is much more general than this, yes?)
The examples I think about for your new pub are endless.
A woman with some sort of debilitating physical disease who turned her art hobby into a part time profession and just had her first gallery showing. A woman dentist who took up the cause of mentoring other dental office support staff in her community and was personally responsible for 12 new successful applications to dental school. A newbie woman politician doing great things. A high school female student who started a side hustle club and one gig turned into a successful start up for sourcing part time workers. A chemist who created her own cosmetics line. My next door neighbor, an extraordinary cook, who created a new community based version of meals on wheels. So on and so on.
The only exception to these stories could be fiction and poetry with the same theme( women celebrating women’s accomplishments) and discussion pieces about variations on the importance of women doing this shout out for one another.
I’d be happy to brainstorm with you occasionally on this but my ability to be an effective editor might be limited for a bit. I am just getting ready to launch my own website and finally…sigh…finally start writing. It doesn’t leave much extra time right now. A bit, just not much!
