I would love to see you write a piece about the “typical boy or typical girl” phrase, Roz. Those words seem to be similar to others, embedded in our language. Often the words just slip from our lips.
Which would be ok if they weren’t used so often. (I do not refer only to the spoken words.) Plus there are so many other expressions like this. On their own, tiny things. All together they compile a huge mass of influence.
This is when I worry about the expression”Don’t sweat the small stuff” because sometimes a bigger picture is missed.
Please tag me if you do write about this. I don’t want to miss out. Indirectly you do an excellent job on the topic when you write about that little guy, darn his name is escaping me.
