Please, please Medium. Read this wise woman’s post. We love it here. No question we can all grow and be better and better. Linda’s suggestion is an excellent one.
It’s good for all the rationale Linda provides. It’s also good for writers on your site( and probably elsewhere) choosing writing as a full time profession.
No disrespect to part time or hobby writers. These classifications are not rigid, there are overlaps. So my comments below apply to many.
When one commits a significant chunk of time to something deemed a profession. A creative profession when it’s writing. There is always a business component attached. Linda’s argument about the stats for writing quality improvement also helps writers analyze the business part of their efforts.
Interestingly enough, these go hand in hand. Learning how to improve one’s writing, besides adding to a quality and artistic goal, also enables the analysis of the business side. All these considerations seriously contribute to our writer’s goal of learning, growing and becoming better at what we do and love.
Thanks from me too, Medium, if you see, read and include Linda’s suggestions.
Linda, you rock and thank YOU. I feel as though I speak for many. We really appreciate how much you support and think about things that matter to us all.
