P.D. Thank you for writing this piece. It has been on my mind for awhile and here I find this from you.

IMO, aside from the pursuit of writing and honing that and related skills, there are other advantages that accompany it.

The community here on Medium is packed solid with talented, impressive, kind, good people. Their range of subjects is mind-boggling. There is so much to see (your photographs one big example) and to read.

To fake read by clapping without a sentence much less the entire piece read. To highlight randomly or copy over other's highlights and run without reading. How dishonest, how selfish, how insulting. And how unfortunate it is to miss out on all the gems (people and posts) on this site.

I have seen some terrible examples of this rude and careless behaviour. I understand that it is a further example of how cold and calculating some humans are becoming. Yet, to say that, almost implies acceptance and accept, we must not.

I would never want to miss out on the Medium engaging and reading. Same for many of us, I fall behind and then need days to catch up.

Like today, all day I am reading, clapping 50 times(cause I know all the work that goes into creating a good post), highlighting parts that speak extra to me and leaving comments.

I am having a ball, a lovely Saturday. Happy weekend wishes to you, P.D.
