These muckety-mucks think they are rock stars. If you sent them an email asking for an autograph, you would probably get one fedexed to you the next day. Hell, they’d send 10.

Their fat egos cannot imagine why you wouldn’t want to hear hours of info about their daughters, sons or wives.

My former place regularly made a special address at a convenient time( think 6 in the morning) to address the 9 women in the corporation. He( the muckety-muck) thought he should fill us in on his wife’s view of our role in the company. Did she ever work in the company? Of course not. But hey, she is a woman so she ( in his mind) absolutely was qualified to give us job advice…

To your point about us putting up with it, reinforcing it( even via silence) and creating the monster. Um. Yep.
