Omg, P. That’s it…about so much, those last 4 lines. Letting gravity go to get what one wants and needs. Not that single label someone plastered on one’s forehead.

This poem is fabuloso, my friend.

It also made me think of the times I heard (mostly) women acquaintances introduce the emergence of a new romantic partner in their life by first talking about the job the new beau holds and the size of his/her/ their wallet.

And funny about that, try as I might to pivot the convo to other characteristics, the focus was driven back to all the toys the new person owns. The concept of worth and value often isn’t put on a continuum but is one single factor. Like you just wrote, my brilliant friend!🥰🥰🥰🌹
