I believe that many of us relate, though. We work through it because of all the gifts waiting for us on the other side of the grief. It is very draining though.

It had me thinking of your, Mother. The grief with that loss never fully leaves. I lost my Mom when I was 14 years old. Even now the grief has a way of surfacing.
