Oh my. Are we actually living in a sci-fi tale of the 60’s or earlier? Can you believe that in 2019 people still say and think this.

As in : Oh dear. You poor thing. You HAVE to go out to work. Your husband can’t “ take care of you on his own”. What? You say you are working outside the home because that is part of who you are as a human being and it is ANOTHER reason you wake up excited to groove your day? Well humpf. That is very unwomanly of you and totally unmotherly.

Reminds me of this well accomplished friend of mine. Famous in her field. Married this rich older guy. ( yup old, white, straight, rich guy) No kids involved. She quit her impressive career. Then got bored. Went back to work. I said : Huge Congrats. She said: ( with her eyes focused in a nudge nudge wink wink): You do know that I don’t HAVE to work…..
