My dear friend. You have written this so well. My eyes are filled with tears and my heart is heavy. It is an effort to type.

Look where we are. That horrible murder, the injustices and resulting riots from the last few days. And in recent days. We have been, as you note, Sherry, here at this juncture for years.

And why, because of color of skin? I mean read those three words( color of skin). Like why does that matter? We are people. Humans. And look at what some of us do to one another.

Don’t get me started on the added wrongs done to people of different religions, the female gender, non heterosexuals, people living with disabilities, the elderly in our population, people dwelling in different countries/speaking languages other than English…still more categories than I list here…

How small and cruel a section, a big section, of humanity has become/is/always was.

Existence on this beautiful planet is being squandered for nothing...because that person walking down the street doesn’t look like “me”? That definition is just plain wrong and evil.

Do you and the talented Lin Ross know each other? Please allow me to introduce you if not. Sherry is the talented Sherry McGuinn, Lin.

Sherry, Lin and I were talking yesterday about these matters.
