also eggshell walking

Start with something

safe,

I told myself.

About what to post

in my beginning days

of writerdom.

Then I reread those few poems

and immediately visualized

a boring and bland

breakfast.

Not bad and maybe even

needed

when achy tummies

crave

chamomile tea.

Not my belly.

I want to

devour

prime rib, lobster, foie gras,

lasagna, Irish smoked salmon, truffles,

delectable Mac and cheese,

homemade duck fat fries,

and Valrhona chocolate.

and I will*.

* balanced with frequent visits to the gym, of course.

Sending hugs and a wish for the world to BE KIND
Vee.
