Maddy Aramis What a fabulous article. You should have 3,000,000 claps by now. I am telling myself that the only thing standing in the way of your clap count is a holiday that caused most people to spend the entire week at the beach without any electronic devices… I’m right… Right?🙀
This is one of many great sections in your essay: “I do think there is some value in looking at the gender inequity issue as one piece of the bigger puzzle of how we can all try to be kinder, more tolerant, and understanding of each other.”
Yes. Totally agree. Yet I also proudly accept the feminist title. The inequality that 51% of the PEOPLE in the world face… don’t get me started. And it’s everywhere: especially at work but also at home, in public, in private, at that beach for cryin’ out loud.
The other day I used the feminist title in a conversation and … I am embarrassed to say that I felt obligated… yes, obligated to make certain that the person listening didn’t think I meant the term to imply rabid-militant-yuckymen stuff.
It is amazing how society wants to tame( silence) 51% of people. PEOPLE … the important word here.
Thanks again for your article.
