Love my farmers markets and anytime I travel for work or play, I try to take one or two in. Such a wide array of fresh produce and homemade treats. Trying to think of one top thing that sticks in my mind, but hard to do.
How about my top ten: 1. the most beautiful kale and Swiss chard ever 2. Fist size tomatoes that ripened in a field next door. 3. Amazing burrata cheese that called out to me when I bought the tomats. 4. Every kind of homemade pesto you could dream about. 5. Rustic, made from love, sourdough breads, especially the one packed solid with plump black olives. Made some hummus myself to go with it. Toasted the olive bread slicked with olive oil, under the broiler. 6. A million varieties of eggplant( maybe I exaggerated the number a bit…) 7. Garlic bulbs looking like someone had hand carved them( where did I put that photo on my phone..) 8. teensie potatoes, flawless green and yellow beans and baby heirloom carrots all waiting for me to make Nannie June’s hodge podge. 9. Napa cabbage that could win a fashion show award and….. 10. The most decadent chocolate chunk banana bread that I have ever EVER seen ( triumph…I think I cloned a version of it from a merge of several recipes) Oh Dang. Forgot the blueberries and the figs. Each were converted by me into shameless desserts.
Oops. Now I’m hungry. Your top 10 list( listicle?), Cynthia Marinakos
