Thank you Lauren, for such a solid, considered and further thought provoking piece.

The expression Money Makes the World Go ‘Round takes on increasingly sinister meaning as the years tick by. I support having money, reasonable capitalism, life luxuries, giving back, free markets…all of that.

But unbridled capitalism, every breath taken devoted to more-more-more, money at any sacrifice including not paying a living wage to those making your company thrive, using money to do evil. Nope to all that.

The solution, I have no idea. Is there one? The divisions, the hatred, the refusal to be objective, the mental blindness in much of the population created by all this does not bode well.

Going back to brunch is a likely scenario and as you say: our ultimate ruin.

P.S. in these days of staying inside and away to do one’s part in preventing the spread of Covid, a little streaming at night is on most of our agendas. ( Sometimes a lot more than a little…whatever😀)

A series, based on a book from awhile ago, called Condor ( I found it on iTunes) is well done, but extremely chilling. Terrifying is a better word. Sure, it’s fiction. Fiction written in (gulp) 1974 but it is tough to avoid contemplating that money and evil thing as you sit there watching…

Nothing about any of this makes me feel any better.
