Of course businesses are there to sell something and make a profit. However the model needs to be a sound one. Showing profitability by refusing to pay workers a living wage is a sham. If a company cannot make the numbers work under an “true” wage system, perhaps they need to rethink their business model or…pack it all up and start something new.

The ol’ “I cannot make my business work if I pay more than $6.00 per hour”…ummmm…well then, your business doesn’t work.
