James, my friend, I am so sorry it has taken me most of August to get back to your terrific writing. I promised myself a huge writing jag this month amd as of yesterday I delivered( more on Vocal than the recent two on Medium, but I still feel great about sticking to my guns on this).

But… that (unfortunately) meant my reading and commenting for August on Medium went out the window. I am missing my favorite writer peeps, so here I am, hello you, another of my peeps!

This article is more of your great stuff. I have already sent a link to another person, with more planned.

I appreciate your explanations and references and totally agree.

As I read, I kept thinking how fed up I am with these messes around me. ( qualifier: fed up is the word, not burying my head in the sand. Never would I do that.)

I said something similar to one of your other essays on critical thinking: I watch as too many people almost seem to say, “ Awww. Thinking. That’s too hard. I don’t want to, in fact I won’t. Well…Except Uncle Bertie’s rant on face book yesterday about the big, bad 5G. Now that’s interesting stuff.”

The depressing truth is that I have heard stuff similar to the above. Or a shorter version “ I just don’t read (the news) anymore.”

Help?🙄😷
