Indeed. The paltry amount people seem to care about so much in our world is extremely depressing. AI will probably end up being just another on the list.

I am glad about the lawsuits but large swaths of humanity shrug their shoulders, say shit like “ I never read the news” and then they scamper off to important things like brunch.

Especially after reading a Medium post yesterday where a person goes home to a small Village in France for the holidays and all they hear from many local residents( including women) is how much they wish they had Donald Trump and his entourage running France.
Their first in a list of rationale? He is the only leader who puts the country’s needs ahead of his own needs. That his only service is to his country, not himself.
Yep. Really. That’s what a whole group of people said.
And that is one reason why I 100% agree with you, Linda. How do we get people to care? About AI? Climate? Democracy? Women?…
It is a long list.
