“I’ll be making art while the world burns”…can you imagine if each and every person on this planet did that? Poof, where we are today, this terrifying place, would morph into something beautiful.

The architects and executors of this mess would be included in “ each and every person on this planet”. Also included would be the enablers of this current, rapidly approaching certain doom and the ostriches with their heads in the sand.

That much art, that much positivity, would lead to enduring human respect and support for others. Not the current break it all and make the 1% richer.

Here I go Pollyanna-ing again but I’m letting myself bask in that beautiful vision for a mo instead of the fear and bleakness smashing into our faces with each daily open of a major news source.

We all keep saying, “but what can we do?” Well, maybe you hit the nail on the head, Linda (you did, actually). Make art , let the goodness in our soul’s creativity shine through.

Nothing stopping us from, at the same time, joining, advocating ,contributing, and doing anything, even teensy anythings, to make more and more of us also want to create art.

Borrowing from my great grandmother’s favorite ol’ shampoo commercial slogan: “ I’ll tell 2 friends and you tell 2 friends and so on and so on.”

And then maybe, just maybe, the world won’t burn?
