I think there is a way-ton of that going around.

Covid decimated the food industry in more ways than one. I think the establishments, the ones still open, are struggling, tired and worn out.

That doesn't excuse poor food quality and pricing but it explains a lot.

Of course this comment does not apply to every restaurant, fast food or finer dining.
