I know what you mean, Jack. We are doing the same as you and Deb. That article was heart breaking. I just keep hoping if we continue to circulate more and more of these accounts that maybe, just maybe, we can convert a few more deniers.

The selfish and lame reasons I hear for people paying lip service ( or less)to the things we need to do to keep everyone safe…I …I just have to keep believing that the majority..the great majority of humans are better than that…

Yesterday on an exaggerated social distancing walk on fairly empty streets, we encountered two people hanging out at a bus stop, maybe one foot or less between them. They did not appear to know one another. The only way to pass them was to walk up on an apartment building lawn. The street was too congested with traffic to dart across to the other side. And we saw people walking, coming up behind us in the distance.

We go up on the grass. Keeping 10+ feet between us from the bus stop. One of the women called out to us: May I help you? I am the building super and you are on our lawn.

I politely say: we are social distancing and this is the only way to walk past you.

She replies: Social distancing, what is that?

Yup. That’s right.

We were already past her at that point with a reply being of no point. On many levels.
