I get that pontificating is, well, a whole bunch of good-feeling things. Been there, done that.

However perhaps you should have mentioned the science out there about one Covid infection or multiple positive Covid test results. The likelihood of LONG covid is enhanced by single and multiple infections.

Of course, going into year 3 of this mess, the science is young and unfolding. Regardless, already there is disturbing data on long covid.

And then there are the immunocompromised. I thank my lucky stars that I am not in this group but I remain very concerned and respectful for their situation. The dangers to this crowd are huge when in, say, a grocery store where unmasked, asymptomatic yet Covid positive individuals are milling about. Add to that scenario, unvaccinated people in close proximity to the immunocompromised. The same concerns apply to needing safety for the elderly. Our grandmothers and great grandfathers.

What happened to the initial supportive, human kindness slogan for this pandemic, “ we are all in this together”?
