Hollie April Very Impressive. Gaslighting is the worst and it happens so frequently. I am so impressed with how you handled this.

I really like the two points you made, highlighted above. It is an excellent way to gauge a situation like this. That and all the other indicators and vibes from the past now flooding-in to support the current issue.

I spent a chunk of time working in an industry that is about 90% male. The arrogance and misogyny was soul breaking. At conferences and meetings the jokes about mistresses and one night stands were plentiful. 95% ( or more)of those men (boys)making the jokes were married at the time. The refrain I heard over and over was: “ Just remember, if the wife ( their favorite depersonalization term, especially because of tone of voice they used when saying those 2 words) finds out or suspects: Always Deny Deny Deny.”

Hollie, I cannot tell you how often I heard that. Then of course the comrade laughter that erupted as soon as the DENY words were uttered…
