Great idea to address the engagement, reading, 50 claps, sincerity, etc the way you did. It often gets totally lost in the big picture, which is NOT what Medium is all about.

I will go back and read another from you and yes, follow you. I was planning to do that before I reached your CTA.

This is the part I like, deciding to engage with a writer/reader BEFORE being asked. However I get it. Not everyone on this platform is invested in the mutually supportive community. Having said that: there are a whole whack of people on Medium doing all the supportive stuff: 50 claps, genuine and full reads, comments, responding and yes, following.
