Hi Rebeca. Great article. Very accurate. There is so much from the past that no longer applies, especially this “ who wears the pants” phrase.

How about we just..CANCEL..that particular group of words? I am down for it. A good use for a change of “ cancel culture”.

Also that tired label for women: “ aggressive”. You beautifully wrote this: This language is used to rebuke women for stepping outside of their allowed behavioral perimeter.

Interesting anecdote: A year or so ago a guy interrupted an animated discussion I was having to ask me “ Who controls you, Suzanne?”
