Your article made me sad. Not because I am surprised at the wingnut on Twitter. I know full well how many are out there, expressing those depressing and totally wrong thoughts. I just try and pack it in a corner of my brain so I don’t obsess on it daily. In order to get all the other stuff done. Much of it related to what you wrote about.

Supporting story: Years ago when I was in this toxic relationship, the guy I was with was talking about these guys he just met. A bunch of guys who owned several restaurants in a small town.

He said these guys had it so tough, needing to hire women to work in their establishments. He felt sorry for them because as they stated to him, they were incapable, because they were men, of controlling their urge to have sex with these female employees. They were upset that their wives and the employees didn’t get it. They were being punished for being men because they were being denied their (programmed in their genes) right to jump any females’ bones they wanted.

Can you believe this horseshit? Well, that produced an epic fight with the guy I was with. He argued that it was these guys, not him, believing this crap about men.

It didn’t take me too long to discover that my guy was also cut out of the same rotten cloth.( live and learn…)

The good news. As you wrote, there are good guys out there. Guys who believe (the truth and fact)that all humans are people, with equal rights. There are also lots of women out there who “get” what you wrote about. We just need more of those men and women in our world.

We do have a lot of work to do.
