Hi Donna.

As you know, I am ga-ga about Denise and your animals. So far Bubba is your first animal that grabbed my heart. Now I add the cats. And you three adults with your big hearts.

I did not know about Denise’s vision. I am so sorry to hear that. From what I read about her vibrant personality, her talent in the kitchen, the love she distributes through food, animal care, her kind spirit and a host of things I do not know about…she is to me, one of the most interesting people. If we lived next door to each other, absolutely we would be the best of friends.

Thank you for the way you connected this article on the kittens(one in particular) to the research on humans feeling stuck and helpless. I like how much of it boils down to finding hope because that makes a solution possible.

I support hope arriving at ones doorstep in various ways. Professional assistance being first on my list. Second is the power of neighbors, family and friends. So much can be accomplished through all these avenues. I do see a lot of “stuckness” around us. The more initiatives out there to help, the better.

As we are just getting to know each other, you do not know that awhile ago I was a student at a respected state university, in their PhD psychology program. I did not stay. The world of business called me and I switched to an MBA program and then built a successful business career. Only recently I left that industry entirely. Lots of stories to come.

All to say…getting back to helping people with a particular aspect of hope… on my “drafting table”, I have been working on exactly that. Something where my considerable business experience helps (for only one example)an individual who might… be living next door to us literally or figuratively on the internet. Someone who has or might be looking for a side interest that, with a bit of help, could be their eventual escape from a dreary, soul crushing job. ( many more examples)

Some day, Donna, if you have the time, I would love to eChat further with you on this. I would welcome and appreciate your feedback.
