Hi again this lovely Saturday Brianna Bennett ✨

You are so right about silence and women deserving better. Had you not written this compelling (and sad) article, society was then effectively silencing you.

It is a powerful weapon used on us: silencing. Because when we speak up we are usually ostracized in some fashion; considered “aggressive”( really dislike that word), not nice, not knowing our place, a liar, distasteful or the biggie: CRAZY. Who wants to deal with that?

Answer: We will. Sticks and stones and all that. We gotta support one another, speak up, ignore or laugh off the silencing. And then maybe, just maybe…the night will come when you can safely and all by yourself, walk 10 minutes to your car.

P.S. I would have done the same thing you did re your friend driving you.
