Hey Thief. Thanks! Although the piece was a bit of a schmozzle. Then again, those of us not having a clear "what shall I be/do when I grow up" path, we do our fair share of bouncing around and often discover frogs or toads after they finally morph from tadpoles!

And who said life wasn't messy! Frog and toad kinda messy🙄

About Gerald. He was quite the treat at 4, 5, 6 and maybe 7. We spent a lot of time inside too reading his parents vintage Hardy Boys collection.

He not only knew the outdoors, he could make fantastic stuff out of any kind of shit. At least at that age I was impressed.

So much so, that in Grade one, I wanted him to build me a schoolhouse out in his back field. We measured for it and everything. I had this used fisherman's log book that looked a lot like our real teacher's(Mrs. Zinck) roll call ledger. So I wanted my own school so I could have my own register.

Understandable, right?😄

Anyways. Gerald's mother said he couldn't build me the school. (She was also a teacher so maybe she was worried I'd be competition?😈)

Anyways, Gerald and I "broke up" after that.

Glad you liked the Satchmo clip.
