Hey Gillian. It is SO good to see you here. Congrats on all your successes, your amazing adventures, and your new job. Not to mention the amazing year you had traveling. You go girl, like the wind.

Yes, I do have a question. In fact I would love it if you addressed it in a Medium article.

I believe I speak for many when I say that although we are only at the elementary stages of comprehending AI, it feels like, appears like, gradually writers will be 100% replaced by AI. First the factual (just the facts, peeps), the scientific, the research, etc writing will go AI. After that the creative. Because: AI learns by devouring the truckloads of writing and data already on the internet.

AI learns from other creative writers how to write creatively.

I think many of us would like to understand in layperson’s terms why this is not a worry and at some point a career ender. Also, IF there is longer term use for human and AI writers (beyond AI’s learning curve), what is that future supposed to look like?

You know, the answer might be: surprise,surprise, folks, you are right ,AI is exactly as you fear . Um ok, so then that’s what gets said. That is what we talk about.

It isn’t like we can stop AI. That’s like saying dishwashers, cars etc should never have been invented!

So what do you think, my friend since 2019? Maybe you cannot go here just because of the conflict of interest with your new job. Totally understandable.

But hearing answers ( or even just thoughts) to these concerns from a writer like you and not a tech intrenched writer would be so helpful.
