Hello Vicki. I do not know where to begin. I accidentally found you in my Medium feed and OMG OMG I am so glad that I did.
I was about to shut down my tablet for the day. The to do list is looking scary and I gotta get out of these pjs. Well I am saying to myself: Good luck with that!
I went to your profile and every article I want to read. Everyone. So ok, I won’t do that today. Yet it’s now part of my plan as I work toward April 2020 and complete my self imposed 12 month plan: to learn the ropes of Medium, read read read, comment lots, eMeet great writers and… no posting of my own stuff(except the first 4 so-so poems) till that time is up. ( whew…what a mouthful, huh)
Of course I did read this article of yours on Marriage Story just now. I think I might have highlighted the entire thing. I could not help myself. Your points are excellent. Your writing is clear and very engaging. Most impressive.
Women have so much work to do for ourselves. With this applying to grandmothers, great grands, mothers, sisters and so on. The whole dang female support network. Then there’s the friends, teachers, colleagues etc . The entire range in the male gender.
Another mouthful? Depends on how one views it. I see it as an exciting journey. With tremendous benefits. LJB. Love Journey with Benefits.
For this sojourn to either happen in the first place or for it to continue we need writers like you, Vicki. We need 10,000 Vickis . Addressing the issues, providing suggestions, encouraging dialogue.
Once I begin my own writing, part of my focus will be contribution to this trek. I hope you will agree that we should stay in Medium touch. We have much to write and talk about.
I am so glad to find you on this amazing platform. Already I have eMet so many excellent writers and great people. To think that I also accidentally discovered Medium. Lucky me.
P.S. This article of yours on Marriage Story gave me an excellent idea about a mutual discussion I will have with my partner over this holiday period.
Best holiday wishes to you.
