Hello Rigopoula. I have no idea what is up with the Medium site today. I highlighted almost your entire beautiful poem, but no highlight would stick. Oh well...

You need to know that this poem brought tears to my eyes. They are still there. I love that your words can evoke such strong emotions in me. I have said this to you before, you have such a gift, my dear friend.

I feel that this poem is dedicated to many no longer with you but in particular, to your father? Yes, I think I am correct. I continue to be caught up in the outstanding relationship you both shared. You are so fortunate to have experienced all that you did with him.

My sweetie and I spoke of you last night. We were watching this movie set in Italy. Not in Greece, but that isn't my point 😊 There were many stories shared by different generations in the film involving the wind, trees, the earth, and other marvels of nature.

We both agreed that mostly in our part of the world, once called the New World, that no one talks like that very much anymore. As though we have forgotten our roots in nature and the earth. Then we mentioned you and your poetry and agreed: Rigopoula and her family and friends have NOT forgotten. That is enviable and wonderful.

🥰🌹

P.S. The photograph of you accompanying the poem is exquisite.
