No question it is discouraging to see bonuses awarded to someone doing much, much less work than you, getting less engagement than you, etc. One has to rise above this to see the bigger picture, which often isn’t easy either, since being good at writing and engaging with/reading others takes a ton of time and effort.

I was encouraged in June to see posted, the criteria for bonus awards. Then one reads these stories about “ Gee whiz, I got a bonus, I looked at my July stats and cannot for the life of me figure out why.” So the entire bonus thing as well as other related stuff remains a mystery.

Push those thoughts aside and keep one’s eyes on the prize, I say. By that I do not mean only the Medium prize😃
