Girl. This is brilliant. Like so many of your pieces. But the timing of this one? It’s what we are talking about these days.

You are capturing something the puts you in the class of our buddy UH, but you have a different take and a different voice. Which is very much needed.

We need you to keep hammering away at this and the other things you do. Your points in this article are dead on… There is so much work to be done to get through to those with the votes.

The part of yours I highlighted above, those folks do not want the voters to wake up. And no wonder…um…obviously.

I keep saying: Hey the 99% are in the majority but what does that matter if those with the voting power won’t stop drinking that frickin’ koolaid doled out by the 1%.

Aside: where you a Game of Thrones fan? I am thinking of when Daenerys liberated Slaver’s Bay. For awhile it was great until the former slave owners convinced the liberated that service to the bosses and slavery was in their best interest. Duh….

Like you say, it’s just easier to blame someone external for current problems. Lazy thinking. It might feel good to have a scapegoat for your own lack of a job, lack of ambition, poor driving on the highway( for gawd’s sake) etc. But the feel good from that faulty blame doesn’t fix anything. It makes stuff worse.

I love what you said about capitalism. The immediate argument is : Oh you are a socialist if you hate capitalism. Umm we don’t hate it, we just want it practiced in, might I say an “ethical” manner.

That’s the thing though, we have to waste all this time defending our belief in a “ kinder” capitalism, defending feminism while repeating over and over again that we do not hate men. ( these are two of many topics) This is a great trick to try and silence people, huh. I mean there is so much work to speak out and clarify what you don’t mean. So save some time and energy and keep quiet. No. Not a chance.

Welcome to the club of those who will not be silenced. Right?

Sorry for the rambling rant, Linda. I needed a stream of consciousness release.

Now back to my role as president of your fan club. You go girl.👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🌹😍
