Excellent piece, Tim. I have to say how sorrowful it makes me feel when I read stories in the NYT quoting ICU nurses. They speak of unvaccinated Covid patients, so sick, about to be intubated, and begging that they now be given the vaccine. Regardless of all that is true about the misguided and callous mind set of this group, these last minute attempts to “reset” are so tragic.
