Excellent essay. The stats caught my interest too. And the mention of tradwives. I am a big believer of doing your own thing as long as it isn’t promoting harm but… the tradwife concept is baffling. The original Handmaids Tale freaked me out so much that I couldn’t watch the remake. Apologies to the accomplished Elizabeth Moss.
