Dennett. So my dear friend, I know you understand why your accurate, raw, real, haunting poem has made me cry. It is understandable because we need to grieve and we need to do something about this mess. Yes, voting is the biggie. But that won’t be enough, will it.

Dennett, please keep writing these amazing pieces, the more we pound home this message, the more good it will do.

As I was reading I was thinking of Ann Litts and how she has to cope with all the deniers out there, the mask fighters. Those who refuse to social distance.

Our amazing, selfless health care workers(Ann and all the others) working to save us, to keep us alive.

Mainly because of lack of leadership, these Covid is a myth people not only disrespect any and all health care workers. This same crowd expect health professionals to still treat them when they get sick( sick because of their callousness and stupidity). Plus they endanger the lives of the Health workers as well as that of their families.

Then as you so accurately mention, all those workers in other industries and professions working through all this in order to make the lives of others continue to function. The deniers disrespect this huge group as well.

Leadership could have done just about everything needed to fix this….mess( mess is the perfect word). Leadership failed. On purpose.

So my friend, let’s just keep on doing what we can. While we still appreciate all the good that we have. Especially these amazing new friendships growing as a result of this website, Medium. That in itself is a priceless gift.

Thank you btw, for the prompt. I will do my best to participate. I would really like to.

To you and the Captain from me and MSZ.❤️❤️🥰🥰🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
