So I banned myself from Facebook for the so many reasons one reads about lately. Ya, I might regret that but I shall see how I get along.

I am on twitter but only recently @VEEsuzVtanner. Same newbie on IG @vee_suzannevtanner. If you are on these please let me know your user names so I can follow you.

I am thinking of starting a Slack channel to talk with other writers. If you like I could set one up and send you an invite. I love Slack. And free of course! Maybe I could call this Slack channel: Play Chefs on Medium. It could be just you and me chatting for now. Add others later.

Just let me know what might work. There is always good ol’ email. ccrsuzecue@gmail.com.

I am liking the Slack thing though. Been on my mind for a bit.

So…Cooking…I again raided my fridge for tonight’s dins. Truthfully, I did it yesterday after my Medium bud Sherry McGuinn posted her coolio article about quickie soup. Note: that’s about making soup quickly, not the other quickie. Not certain how the latter would work with soup. But we writers do have good imaginations…

So dinner tonight is Soup of the Frozen Veggies. Yesterday I found frozen chicken thighs hidden in my freezer ice, had some frozen chicken bone broth (all that literature about bone broth sticks to my bones), chopped up an onion (yeah Sherry, I did and by hand, even though my knife skills suck), threw in a whole fat carrot, 4 peeled and fatter-not-smushed garlic cloves, some real, not powdered, ginger and turmeric I had laying around, 3 bay leaves: dried variety. I let the schmozzle simmer for four frickin’ hours. On my stove cause I too work from home. But a crock pot will work just dandy.

Then today I am going to throw in whatever frozen veg I uncover. Also a can of chopped tomatoes(thanks, Sherry). We will have a nutritious soupfest. Oh I have a bit of a Napa cabbage in my produce drawer. Gonna chop that sucker up and throw in the pot.

Whadayathink, Cheryl? What’s your dinner tonight? You Sherry? Oh Cheryl, meet Sherry. Nothing makes me happier than to introduce two really good and happening writers. And hey Sherry McGuinn the contact info above and Slack suggestion is extended to you also👍😁

We have a deal in our house. I cook and my honey cleans up. I hate clean up so it’s perfect. Plus( secret, this is) He, my honey, is not much of a cook. Except BBQing a steak. That he does well. Unless he has 2 martinis beforehand…
