Alice thanks for writing this essay . I have read a lot about people wanting to ( with respect and understandably) make a political statement and not vote for Biden or Trump. They say their plan is to 1. stay home and not vote in September, or 2. write in a new name on the ballot, or 3. vote for a third party.

This is very concerning. Trump has an inflexible, devoted support base and that crowd will NOT do any of those three actions above, they will come out in droves and vote for Trump.

I wish we would read more about the fact that those three actions above are essentially votes for Trump.
