Absolutely language matters. If you think about it, there are so many examples of language mattering when it comes to how women are viewed and treated. Often when I point one out the reaction is something like “ Oh for heaven’s sake, that’s such a small insignificant thing”
Well. Wrong. 5000 insignificant things add up and shape how we see women. The influence of these things is gigantic.
