You know what I think would be win/win for Medium, Ev, Readers, Writers, Improved Quality of Writing, Headlines, More traffic to Medium, More Subscriptions, yada, yada, yada?

My answer: another win/win where Medium starts paying their “regular” writers better. There are ways to do this, to fund this, so it is not all another reach into Ev’s pockets.

I have a ton of specific suggestions to share. Lots of us do. Terry Mansfield mentioned an excellent one to me just recently. Sherry McGuinn is a powerhouse on this topic. I could tag another 10 people without any further thought. Then more after that.

Any chance we could convince you to write a follow up post to this one, asking your readers to put their ideas in the comments and encouraging comments on the comments? Practical ideas to increase payouts to “regular”writers tied to better writing, better headlines, increased frequency of posting, etc. Yet suggesting equally practical ways to fund these increases. Win/win no matter how you look at it.

I am game to play. I am certain lots of us are.
